Presentation of Fundraising Cheque to Dublin 15 Hospice

The girls and staff along with the Parents Association are presenting a cheque for €6160 to the Blanchardstown Dublin 15 hospice.

Funds were raised at a number of events including the Choral Night Extravaganza held in December with the Baldonnell Singers and various other fundraising activities held during last year.

Welcome to the Scoil Mhuire Parents Association website. We are a group of parents of children attending Scoil Mhuire primary school at Mount Sackville, Chapelizod, Dublin 20.

The role of the parents association is set down in the Education Act 1998 as follows:

A parents association shall promote the interests of the students in a school in co-operation with the board, principal, teachers and students.

· To advise the Principal or the Board on matters relating to the school
· To adopt a programme of activities which will promote the involvement of parents in the operation of the school, in consultation with the principal.

The Parent Association is not a forum for complaint against either an individual teacher or parent. The Complaints Procedure is the mechanism for this.
